Cancellation & Refund Policy

Scope. This policy applies to direct bookings made via our website or by email. For reservations made through third-party platforms (e.g., Booking.com), the cancellation terms shown on those platforms apply.

Free cancellation window. You may cancel free of charge up to 30 days before arrival (23:59 local time in Shkodër, CET/CEST). We will refund 100% of any prepayment.

Within 30 days. Cancellations made fewer than 30 days before arrival are non-refundable and the total booking amount may be charged.

No-show & early departure. No-shows and unused nights after check-in are non-refundable. Shortening your stay within 30 days of arrival is treated as a late cancellation.

Non-refundable rates. If you booked a non-refundable rate, no changes or refunds are possible at any time.

Modifications. Date changes are subject to availability and the rate in effect for the new dates. If the new check-in is within 30 days, the late-cancellation rules apply.

How to cancel. Please email hostel.calao@outlook.com with your booking number and name. Your cancellation is effective when you receive our written confirmation.

Refund method & timing. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 10 business days (bank processing times may vary).

Force majeure. In the event of government travel restrictions or other force-majeure events, we may offer a date change or credit/voucher at our discretion.
